Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer which forms in the basal layer of the skin. The basal layer is the outermost layer of the skin where new skin cells are produced. BCC is caused when the basal cell develops a DNA mutation due to UV radiation exposure. The morphology of BCC is shiny, translucent papule or nodule. With early detection and treatment, BCC can be removed.
